Work, work, work (Pub, Club, Sleep)

I've been to two gigs this week, the first was on my own to the Old Blue Last to see Milk Kan (who I will be seeing again on Sunday) and The Mighty Roars (album launch) as part of Harry's Mulligan Presents night which happens the last Saturday of the month and it's free so you know, yay!  I like going to his night because he always chooses good bands to play and the D's are a great laugh one of them was playing Wu Tang which was quality to hear at an indie night (consequently I've been digging out my old Wu albums).  The last DJ was Taz from The Sessions and he likes to play a bit of disco and quality soul, so musically a diverse night but the security turned off his set because it was time to go but I got chatting to sound engineer actually I mainly listened because she was doing most of the talking and I didn't much feel like saying anything really, we flirted a bit but you know me I somehow manage to sabotage myself so I kept quiet and left it at that, just a chat. Listened to the latest Arctic Monkeys on the bus home and went past the pub but the were shut, well it was half three in the morning, though that doesn't normally stop them from being open.  Anyway they were shut and I headed for bed.

Last night I went to Another Kitchen at Proud in Camden Remi Nicole was playing but I missed her as she was on earlier than expected and the band we (yes I said we, yay for work colleagues) went to see, The More Assured, ended up being headline, there was another band playing who I thought were rather hot they were called The Answer Machine (I'll have to check their Myspace). The place was packed (though after Remi the crowd dwindled) and the bar was free when we got there but it didn't last long (only got one drink out of it but never mind). We sat out on the beds on the veranda which over looks Camden it was cold but there were heaters and chatted for a while waiting for the bands to start. So had far to much to drink and ended up walking home and got a Chinese meal on the way which was mighty satisfying and for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to buy my lunch for today at the 24 hour supermarket and now I'm here at work after about 2 hours sleep, a shower and a change of clothes, writing this before I forget it which reminds me, when I was walking home my mind was flowing with ideas for things to write here, I'll try and get some of them down when I get a chance.

Ok that's everything I think. I have the kids tomorrow and an all dayer on Sunday which should be good, I've seen a couple of the acts before so I know it will be good and on bank holiday Monday I'll probably just sleep.

After thought: I hope it's quiet at work today I'm so jacob's.
