Girls who play sitar's

I went to an acoustic night tonight with some people from work. I wasn't expecting much as my friend recommended it but surprisingly it turned out to be rather excellent. First up was a chap named Emit Block who appeared to be from the deep south although he could have been from Wimbledon for all I know. He played some guitar and a harmonica and I was transported instantly to the middle of New Orleans, things were looking up. Next up was Paloma Faith who my friend had come to see she wore feathers in her hair and an old style ball gown like you see in westerns and show tune films with long satin gloves the look was striking and when she sang I was hooked, her voice was amazing. I was reminded of Amy Winehouse but with something extra I couldn't figure out. Last up was Bishi A young lady of Bengali background who is a classically trained musician, came on stage with a sitar, there was a Tabla player and a guitarist for accompaniment and she sounded great she sang of being on the night bus, with a sitar was just incredible and a song called Majors was fantastic but she played it again at the end of the set because it cocked up in the beginning. A good time was had by all, thanks Carlos (well done for scouting Paloma), Georga (sorry for winding you up sweetheart) Mo (thanks for offering the lift) and Paul (here's to many more) hope you got home safe chaps.
